Copywriter, Creative Services
SCA Direct, an industry leader in direct response and multi-channel fundraising located in Fairfax, Virginia with staff positioned nationally, is seeking a Copywriter to join our growing Creative Services team. Working in a fast-paced agency environment, the candidate will be part of an award winning creative team developing results-driven copy for multi channel direct marketing campaigns including direct mail and online efforts. You must have a true passion for, and understanding of, what drives donor behavior. Pride, curiosity, and ownership of your work are all qualities we seek.
Position requires 5 or more years experience as a Copywriter in the nonprofit marketplace. Candidate must have the ability to multi-task, handling multiple projects simultaneously with speed, accuracy, and efficiency and understand the need to adhere to timelines and brand guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of each client’s standards.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of, strategy by having a strong creative point of view and able to effectively communicate to the Creative Director and account teams. You will be collaborating with our clients as part of the creative team and must have strong presentation skills to effectively articulate strategic copy direction in discussions with clients.
Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability, to collaborate with Art Directors, Designers and Account Managers in the copywriting process. You must have strong conceptual headline writing skills, excellent short-and long-form writing ability, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Acrobat Pro.
